Conclusion
The Roger Williams Statue in Prospect Terrace was installed with the intention to venerate him as a local hero. At the time it was dedicated, this monument was one of the only markers in the city that did so. Now, the local landscape is saturated with places that bear his name. Just two blocks down the hill from Prospect Terrace is the Roger Williams National Memorial. The zoo is named after him, as is a university, as is an avenue, as is a casino, as is a middle school. Providence has declared Williams as their hero.
